For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal;a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to seek, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to tear, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate;
a time for war, and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Spring is in the air. As we read this scripture may we be encouraged that time is a gift from God. Genesis 1 says that “In the beginning God created.” God created a time to be born and a time to die. Also He created a time to plant as the farmers are getting ready to do, as well as a time to heal as we see the health care professionals doing. There is a time to laugh and a time to dance and soon I hope there will be a time to embrace as right now we are asked to refrain from embracing. There is always a time to Love no matter how bad or unstable the world may be. We can always Love.
Spring means that winter is gone and warmer days are coming. It is being outside and having barbeques with family and friends. It is a reminder that God is unchanging and that He has all seasons in control. We may be in a season of turmoil but even in that God is in control. Let this encourage us as we journey in these days.
Praying Gods peace and grace on you.
